Push International Trailer

At one point or another we've all done it during a movie outing. We've sat through a preview for a upcoming film and we're in awe, of just how horrible the film that's being previewed looks.

I've had that experience the past 3 movie outings I've been to. The preview that had thoughts of disbelief running through my mind and nausea in my stomach belonged to a upcoming film called Push staring Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning.

In a nutshell Push is about a group of artificially enhanced operatives who have the abilities to predict the future, move objects with their minds, create new realities and kill without ever touching their victims. A shadowy government agency known as The Division is genetically transforming citizens into an army of psychic warriors and brutally disposing of those unwilling to participate.

Wow, that sounds familiar. Perhaps it's because a similar story took place during volume 3 of heroes. Aside from the blatant rip off of powers and plot lines from Heroes Push just very well be bad enough to make Jumper look like a Martin Scorsese masterpiece.

>br> Below is the International trailer for Push which doesn't go into as much detail or back story (what little there is) as the American trailer does. Either way, it still has the same nauseating effect.

Top Christmas Rap Songs

I'm sure by now many of you are burned out from hearing the standard Christmas songs on the radio, tv and through out the stores where you did your holiday shopping. So, instead of sleeping and preparing for what surely will be a long and exhausting day I decided to scour the web for some of the most memorable Christmas songs performed by hip hop artist.

Christmas Rapping-Kurtis Blow. A 1980 Performance on Top of the pops by a hip hop legend.

Deck The Halls-Craig Ferguson and RZA. While Deck the halls is considered a Christmas standard I'm including it on this list for the sheer fact that seeing Craig Ferguson with Wu-Tang Clan Member RZA entertains me immensely.

What If Eminem Did Jingle Bells. Many say this is a rare Christmas song by Eminem. Others say it isn't. Either way, it's still a catchy little ditty.

Santa Claus Goes Straight To The Ghetto-Snoop Dogg. Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg and Daz Dillinger rapping about Santa Claus equals instant classic.

Christmas In Hollis-RUN DMC. Arguably the best known Christmas rap song of all time and with great reason. The first time I heard this I was 10 and I was watching Die Hard. I instantly fell in love with the song and still love it to this day

Happy Holidays

Although I'm currently grumpy at the fact retailers don't beef up their online servers when a very limited item goes on sale, thus causing the site to freeze on you when you actually had said product in your cart ready to check out I'm still in the Holiday spirit which means, I'm in a giving mood.

Below you'll find a few galleries of one of My (and your) favorite ladies who's photos have brought us all joy this year, Denise Milani. Enjoy the galleries and expect to see plenty more of Denise's photos here in 2009.

Happy Holidays.

Michael Jackson Is Officially Nuts

It's not often that I'm left with out words. But, after seeing these latest photos of The King Of Pop looking like Antonio Banderas from the Zorro films that certainly is the case.

I've always defended Michael for the simple fact that I'm a huge fan of his music but now I must profess that if you willingly go out in public dressed as Darkman, you're officially bat shit crazy.

Carla Gugino Talks About Sally Jupiter's Look In Watchmen

MTV has a brief interview with actress Carla Gugino in which she discusses her character Sally Jupiter from the upcoming Watchmen film. One key feature from the interview that has made me an even bigger fan of Gugino is her admission to being a huge fan of one of my favorite artist Alberto Vargas.

"I’m obsessed with Vargas. They had this idea where we came in and did all of these great old Vargas poses and they painted a Vargas-style painting. There’s also a moment when Sally Jupiter’s character was painted by Norman Rockwell, so we wanted those kind of great, iconic images.”

You can read the entire story as well as see a Vargas influenced painting of Gugino as Sally Jupiter at MTV Splash Page.

Diddy To Appear On CSI:Miami

In what may be the greatest news ever posted...here today, Sean "Diddy" Combs is set to appear on a upcoming episode of the greatest sitcom ever produced, CSI:Miami.

Combs will play the part of defense attorney Derek Powell. As Combs, 39, explains it to PEOPLE, he met with CBS executives and told them, "I don't want to play no musician, I don't want to play a criminal – none of those stereotypical things. I want to play a lawyer."

The episode of CSI:Miami that will feature Combs guest appearance will air Feb 2009.

Lisa Rinna To Pose For Playboy

According to E Online Lisa Rinna the 45 year old mother of two and former dancing with the stars contestant confirmed that she will soon bare all in a upcoming issue of Playboy.

"I'm the worst liar on the planet, I can't lie, so...I think that could be a yes," she told Extra recently when asked about the possibility." This isn't the first time that Lisa has posed for Playboy as she posed in 1998 when she was pregnant with her daughter Deliah Belle.

Keanu Reeves Eager To Do Cowboy Bebop

Back in July I wrote that Keanu Reeves was attached to do a live action version of the popular anime Cowboy Bebop.

Well, it looks like plans are rolling forward according to a MTV movie blog entry by Larry Carroll. “Oh yeah, cool,” he said when I asked him about the flick recently. “We’re trying to do that.”

“Yeah, it’s so episodic and so disconnected. We’re trying to figure out what pieces to put together to tell one story,” he explained. “Because it’s such a short form, to make a 2 hour version [will be tough]. And it’s got so much of an origin-story obligation; you’ve got to get people up to speed, but you don’t want to do much of that. There are a lot of things to take into consideration, but we think we can do something good.”

You can read the entire entry here.

Homeless G-Funk Beatbox

If My disdain for Lil Wayne's music isn't enough to convince you that he's a horrible rapper then perhaps this video of a homeless man beat boxing will. See that Weezy, someone who doesn't need autotune and studio effects to alter his voice. And most importantly, his lyrics are actually coherent.

Carla Gugino In Costume As Elektra Luxx

Yesterday a picture of Carla Gugino as her character Elektra Luxx from the upcoming film Women in Trouble appeared online. Today, the above photo was released in which we see Gugino as Luxx dressed for a porn film.

In addition to the two photos there's also a site, a blog actually with more pics of the cast of Women in Trouble ran by Elextra Luxx herself. You can view that site here.

90s Rock Songs A Video Retrospective Part 3

I've procrastinated on installment 3 of my look back at 90s Rock Songs. But, the wait is over. In this installment we'll look back at the lighter fun side of the Rock songs from the 90s.

No Rain

Blind Melon-No Rain. If you grew up in the 90s there was no escaping this catchy little ditty. This video featuring the Bee Girl played by Heather DeLoach became a smash hit and helped Blind Melon's self titled album go quadruple platinum. Sadly the band disbanded following lead singer Shannon Hoon's death due to a drug overdose. The band later reformed in 2006 with a new lead singer Travis Warren who just recently announced his departure from the band November 2008.

Run Around-Blues Traveler. I was torn between posting this song and the other hit from the "Four" album "Hook" But, ultimately my crush on Dorthy (Diana Marquis) in the Run Around video won out.

Beck - Loser

Beck-Loser. Off of his 1994 Mellow Gold album this song thrust Beck into mainstream success. His follow up album from 1996 Odelay went double platinum and would go on to produce the hits Where It's At, Devil's Haircut, Jack-Ass and The New Pollution.

Smashing Pumpkins-1979. Let's be honest here, The Smashing Pumpkins were one of the biggest bands of the 90s. They produced so many great videos and songs during this time which made it difficult for me to choose. In the end I chose 1979, which had to be re-shot due to the original footage being lost/stolen.

Green Day When I Come Around

Green Day-When I come around. Much like the Smashing Pumpkins Green Day were huge in the mid and late 90s. Their popularity rose after a infamous mud fight broke out during their set at Woodstock 2. Over 10 years later they once again became the biggest band in the world with their American Idiot album.

Heroes Webisodes

Volume 3 of Heroes ended tonight and for me it was bit of a let down. I had missed a majority of the third season and just recently started getting back into the show. The prior 3 weeks were extremely good and it looked like the season would end on a high note, sadly that wasn't the case.

Volume 4 starts after the Superbowl in Feburary, until then NBC launched new webisodes today. The series is entitled The Recruit and follows Rachel Mills a female Marine who was one of the 50 Marines selected to be guinea pigs by the government and the Pinehearst Corporation for their experiment of turning normals to specials (as seen in volume 3).

The Series stars Taylor Cole who starred in The WB's hit drama Summerland and the MTV movie "All You've Got." She can be seen in the upcoming feature films Twelve Rounds and The Surrogates. You can see the first two episodes of The Recruit Here

Jeff Hardy Finally Wins The Big One

I rarely do this but, I'd like to take a brief moment to acknowledge a monumental achievement by WWE superstar Jeff Hardy. After 15 years in the wrestling business he finally captured the WWE championship earlier tonight by defeating Triple H and then WWE Champion Edge in a triple threat match at Armageddon in Buffalo New York.

Jeff has had a trying year both professionally and personally having been suspended for failing the WWE's wellness policy only to have his mobile home burn down due to faulty wiring a few days after his suspension. Jeff lost all his belongings as well as his dog due to that fire.

It's good to see that Jeff has gotten his life back on track and as a result is being rewarded with the wrestling industry's biggest honor, the World Championship and carrying the company on his back. As a long time fan I couldn't be happier, congratulations Jeff.

Heath Ledger Nominated For Golden Globe

The Hollywood Reporter announced today that Heath Ledger’s posthumous performance as the Joker has earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Ledger died in January following an accidental overdose of prescription pills. In a interview with Empire last year Ledger revealed that he had isolated himself in a hotel room for a month to emulate the Joker’s mindset and perfect his mannerisms.

The other candidates for Best Supporting Actor include Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Cruise for Tropic Thunder, Ralph Fiennes for The Dutchess, and Phillip Seymour Hoffman in Doubt.

Pin Up Queen Bettie Page Passes Away

Bettie Page the pin up queen who helped play a key role in the sexual revolution of the 60s died Thursday night at Kindred Hospital in Los Angeles, where she had been on life support since suffering a heart attack Dec. 2, she was 85.

Page attracted national attention with magazine photographs of her sensuous figure in bikinis and see-through lingerie. Her photos included a centerfold in the January 1955 issue of Playboy magazine, as well as controversial sadomasochistic poses. The latter helped contribute to her mysterious disappearance from the public eye, which lasted decades and included years during which she battled mental illness and became a born-again Christian.

"I think that she was a remarkable lady, an iconic figure in pop culture who influenced sexuality, taste in fashion, someone who had a tremendous impact on our society," Playboy founder Hugh Hefner told The Associated Press on Thursday. "She was a very dear person."
